Senior Project Engineer - Solar

Our client is a leader in renewable energy with over $20 billion in U.S. assets and a portfolio spanning 34 states, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their dynamic team in Baltimore, MD (Hybrid) or Huntington Beach, CA.

Our client is one of the largest fully integrated providers of distributed energy solutions to commercial, industrial, and public sector customers in North America. The company manages a decarbonization-as-a-service platform with a significant portfolio of distributed generation facilities across the United States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and Canada.

What You'll Do:

• Lead technical project designs, ensuring efficient solutions from concept to permitting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed layouts, site evaluations, and design drawings.
• Utilize industry tools like PVSyst and PV Watts for production and financial modelling.
• Oversee the submission of project documentation for regulatory approvals and permitting.
• Coordinate with CAD resources and manage timelines effectively.
• Support utility interconnection processes, performance validations, and on-site inspections.

About You:

• Education: Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Skills: Strong teamwork, relationship management, and customer focus. Proficient in planning and goal setting.
• Experience: Knowledge of solar/energy system design and permitting processes.
• Requirements: Valid driver's license and ability to travel over 25% of the time.
