Acre has been retained by a leading grid-scale Battery Storage client to identify a Power Marketing Director to join their team.
Working directly with the CEO, the Director will work to develop a comprehensive power marketing strategy, harnessing their 'deal closing' ability to execute key long-term agreements in addition to key aspects of revenue contracts (tolls, capacity, hedges). This is a high visibility role with upward mobility in which an experienced operator will have the opportunity to scale a power marketing group and scale a well-funded business.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Create and implement a power marketing strategy - identify key opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholders
Secure key agreements for the business including long-term agreements and revenue contracts
Interface with project development and M&A team to assess power marketing strategies to optimize portfolio targeting
Originate and foster new relationships with utilities, C&I customers, trading firms, and Fortune 500s
Represent GridStor at key energy conferences and events
Must-Have Requirements:
At least 5 years of power marketing experience, and 10 years in the renewables sector
Proven experience closing complex structured transactions and relevant long-term contracts in the renewables sector, with direct experience on battery storage or solar+storage projects
Strong power market acumen across multiple jurisdictions (SPP, ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, WECC)
Detailed understanding of revenue contract intricacies (tolling, capacity, hedging) relevant to storage
