Acre is proud to be collaborating with a London-based institution at the cross-section of infrastructure, economic development, cultural heritage and local governance.
In this newly created role, as the Climate Action Stakeholder Engagement Officer, you will focus on delivering engagement initiatives, stakeholder coordination, and facilitating partnerships. The aim is to ensure that sustainability and carbon-oriented goals are clearly communicated, understood, and adopted across diverse audiences and that you are bringing a range of stakeholders on the journey.
The key responsibilities include the following themes:
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration. You will drive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance local climate action and the Climate Action Strategy.
Content Creation and Communication: Develop engaging content such as newsletters, social media, and the climate action website. This may include preparing presentations, briefing papers, reports, and communication materials tailored to diverse audiences.
Event and Resource Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute both internal and external stakeholder engagement events. Ensure materials are current, accurate, and aligned with the sustainability messaging as planned.
Policy, Governance, and Best Practices: You will support internal governance functions, including Committee paper drafting, Member briefings, and decision tracking.
To thrive in this role and deliver success, you will benefit from having the following:
A proven track record of delivering successful stakeholder engagement activities and projects, including designing and developing new engagement approaches. You should have experience of conducting stakeholder research (e.g. surveys, polls, focus groups) to analyse trends and trial the best methods of engagement.
Expertise of
using social media to promote activity on climate change, as well as a solid understanding of climate action and some of the necessary steps involved, to communicate the key concepts to stakeholders.
Relevant education, for example
in communications, marketing, climate science, or a linked subject, as well as an awareness of public and local issues in London linked to climate change.
