Based in fabulous offices in central London, with a fantastic team, FGS Global is a strategic communication consultancy operating in the main business hubs around the world.

To help with growth in London, they are looking for an Associate Director of Sustainability Communications & Strategy to support the delivery and management of ESG assurance, reporting, communications and programmatic projects for clients.

This role will play a central role in FGS Global's ESG practice by supporting clients and client delivery teams in understanding the impact of the emerging regulatory agenda around ESG reporting, with a focus on global, UK and EU initiatives such as the ISSB standards, CSRD, Taxonomy Regulation, mandatory TCFD reporting and the UK Sustainability Disclosure Requirements.

The selected candidate will independently lead a diverse portfolio of work related to ESG reporting regulations and standards and the delivery of related communications collateral, including undertaking horizon scanning activities and identifying potential new opportunities for the business driven by ESG opportunities. They will also support the development of ESG programmatic propositions and campaigns for clients and produce written analysis and information, including thought leadership, client publications/materials, blogs, and ESG Reports.

Key responsibilities:

  • Client liaison

  • Executes engagement/project delivery from planning through to completion

  • Responds with urgency and accountability to client and team requests

  • Communicates regularly with partners on status of allocated deliverables

  • Compiles and takes part in client presentations

  • Prepares ESG reporting and assurance proposals

Skills:

  • Project management skills

  • Proficient in MS Office suite - specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Able to understand and articulate ESG and integrate it into broader business, operations and decision making

  • Familiarity and experience with ESG reporting frameworks

  • Experience in conducting ESG assurance engagement

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficient verbal and written skills

  • Technical knowledge in specific areas of ESG and sustainability
