A leading industrial and logistics real estate company is seeking an experienced Interim Utilities Operations Director to drive a transformational change.
This organisation is scaling rapidly and requires a forward-thinking leader to design and implement a new utilities operating model and drive the adoption of technology-led solutions.
Using your experience you will be instrumental in building a best-in-class utilities function, ensuring cost control, operational efficiency, and maximised returns on utilities recharging (including solar PV). You'll lead business change through process, data, and technology improvements, supporting ESG reporting and enhancing customer service.
Responsibilities:
Develop & execute a scalable operating model for utilities management across the organisation
Lead the transition to technology-driven utilities operations, integrating energy data analytics and automation tools
Optimise utilities procurement & financial performance, driving cost efficiencies and maximising returns
Align operations with ESG goals, improving energy efficiency and carbon reporting
Design & document processes, ensuring seamless collaboration with finance, sustainability, and property teams
Deliver a business case & implementation plan for a future-proof utilities function
Person Specification:
Proven experience in utilities operations within real estate, infrastructure, or related industries
Strong expertise in utilities procurement, data analytics, and cost control
Track record of designing & implementing operational frameworks from scratch
Experience with smart utilities, energy management systems, and automation tools
Ability to lead change management initiatives and drive technology adoption
