Are you an experienced climate risk professional with a passion for integrating climate scenario analysis into business decision-making? A leading financial services group is looking for a Group Scenario Analysis and Climate Risk Lead to take ownership of its climate risk strategy at a global level.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of climate risk management, shaping how a major financial institution assesses and responds to both transition and physical risks. This role will be instrumental in developing a forward-thinking approach to climate scenario modelling, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, and embedding climate considerations into key business decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Drive the integration of climate risk and scenario analysis across the business, influencing senior leaders and shaping decision-making.
Play a key role in regulatory engagement, including PRA interactions and compliance with SS3/19, TCFD, and other evolving frameworks.
Lead the development of in-house climate scenarios, working across investment, capital management, and risk functions.
Build and lead a team of climate risk and scenario professionals, developing best practices for risk analysis.
Stay ahead of emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and industry developments to enhance scenario modelling capabilities.
Personification:
Experience in financial services, particularly in insurance or banking, with expertise in climate scenario modelling and risk analysis.
Technical knowledge of frameworks such as NGFS, climate stress testing, and regulatory compliance (SS3/19, TCFD).
Experience leading regulatory discussions and developing strategic responses to evolving climate risk frameworks.
