Are you an experienced climate risk professional with a passion for integrating climate scenario analysis into business decision-making? A leading financial services group is looking for a Group Scenario Analysis and Climate Risk Lead to take ownership of its climate risk strategy at a global level.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of climate risk management, shaping how a major financial institution assesses and responds to both transition and physical risks. This role will be instrumental in developing a forward-thinking approach to climate scenario modelling, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, and embedding climate considerations into key business decisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive the integration of climate risk and scenario analysis across the business, influencing senior leaders and shaping decision-making.

  • Play a key role in regulatory engagement, including PRA interactions and compliance with SS3/19, TCFD, and other evolving frameworks.

  • Lead the development of in-house climate scenarios, working across investment, capital management, and risk functions.

  • Build and lead a team of climate risk and scenario professionals, developing best practices for risk analysis.

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and industry developments to enhance scenario modelling capabilities.

Personification:

  • Experience in financial services, particularly in insurance or banking, with expertise in climate scenario modelling and risk analysis.

  • Technical knowledge of frameworks such as NGFS, climate stress testing, and regulatory compliance (SS3/19, TCFD).

  • Experience leading regulatory discussions and developing strategic responses to evolving climate risk frameworks.
