We are seeking a Head of Nature Risk Solutions, a senior leader with deep expertise in nature risk, biodiversity, and sustainability frameworks, to shape the development and commercialisation of innovative solutions that support businesses in managing nature-related financial and operational risks.

This is an opportunity to be part of a transformative movement, working with key stakeholders across financial services, corporate sustainability, and environmental governance to deliver cutting-edge solutions that align with emerging global frameworks such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nature risk solutions that address biodiversity loss, ecosystem degradation, and natural capital dependencies, ensuring alignment with evolving sustainability regulations and disclosure frameworks.

• Lead market engagement by positioning the organisation as a key player in nature-related risk management, building relationships with financial institutions, corporations, and regulatory bodies.

• Drive commercial strategy, developing go-to-market plans and sales strategies to expand the organisation's presence in Japan and East Asia.

• Act as a subject matter expert, advising clients and internal teams on nature-related financial risks and the integration of sustainability into corporate and investment decision-making.

• Collaborate with research and technical teams to translate scientific knowledge into actionable risk management solutions, ensuring practical applicability for business users.

• Engage with industry bodies and policymakers, staying ahead of regulatory developments and emerging best practices in nature risk and biodiversity finance.

Key Requirements

• Extensive experience in nature risk, biodiversity, or natural capital markets, ideally with exposure to financial services, insurance, or corporate sustainability.

• Deep understanding of international environmental frameworks, including TNFD, TCFD, and other sustainability reporting requirements.

• Strong track record in product development and solution design, with experience in bringing sustainability-related tools or services to market.

• Proven commercial acumen, including sales, business development, or strategic partnerships within the environmental risk or sustainability sector.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives, regulators, and cross-functional teams.

• Fluency in Japanese and English is required, with strong knowledge of the East Asian market landscape.
