Acre is partnered with an international leader in the IT solutions and consultancy services sector who operate across more than 50 countries to support them in finding a Head of Responsible Business for a 12 month fixed-term-contract (maternity cover) to lead and support the organisation's ESG strategy implementation and broader sustainability work across the group internationally.

This role is an urgent start due to it being for maternity cover, therefore ideal candidates would be available to start beginning of December.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the continued execution of a comprehensive Responsible Business/ ESG strategy that aligns with the company's mission, values, business objectives, and industry best practices.

  • Responsible for identifying, advising on, and mitigating regulatory risks related to global sustainability & ESG laws and regulations, such as the TCFD and CSRD.

  • Support the creation of and implementation of ESG policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Oversee the development and production of all sustainability and ESG annual reporting initiatives, including Annual and Integrated Reports, Strategic Report, and Climate-related Disclosures.

  • Identify gaps in the sustainability and environmental, social and governance performance and create credible and measurable action plans to address these. Implement best practices in areas of corporate, ethical, and social responsibility and address any issues arising.

  • Provide leadership for the implementation and integration of technologies, systems and tools to foster ESG data collection streamlining efforts for the Group.

  • Staying ahead of ESG trends: Keep the organisation informed on evolving ESG trends, regulations, and best practices, advising on emerging issues.

  • Provide regular communications to the Group to both educate on ESG best practices and drive a culture of sustainability within the organization.

  • Project management of various activities relating to reporting and disclosure, alongside processes, controls and presentations/conferences.

  • Engaging multiple stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership.

  • Preparing communications materials for use with investors and other stakeholders.

  • Providing guidance on investor/stakeholder expectations on CSRD, TCFD, etc.

About You:

  • Experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility, with a proven track record of leadership and impact.

  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, standards (e.g. CSRD, TCFD, GRI), and reporting guidelines, and well-versed in technology solutions to track, report and deliver our sustainability goals.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Passionate about driving sustainable practices within a corporate environment.
