Are you a noise management expert with a passion for aviation and community engagement?

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Head of Noise Management to join a major international organization at the forefront of sustainable airport operations, serving over 50 million customers annually.

About the Role

In this newly created position, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive noise control strategies across multiple airport locations, as well as have full responsibility for the local community engagement strategy. You will be fostering strong relationships with local stakeholders and directly support the growth and operation of major airports by managing the impact of airport and aircraft noise on surrounding communities and creating long-term sustainable change.

Key Responsibilities In this role will include:

  • Strategic Leadership and Regulatory Engagement: Lead the development and execution of noise management strategies, aligning with organisational goals while collaborating with industry regulators and policymakers to advocate for effective noise management policies.

  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain trusting relationships with local communities and stakeholders, ensuring their priorities are understood and addressed effectively through active communication and consultation.

  • Research, Development, and Consultation: Stay updated on the latest research regarding aircraft noise impact, apply insights to enhance operations, support informed decision-making, and contribute to airport consultative committees and other relevant bodies.

In this role you will be leading impactful work through contributing to the sustainable growth of major international airports, ensuring they operate responsibly and in harmony with local communities. To thrive in this role, you will already have the following:

  • Expertise in Noise Management: This could be from the aviation industry or another sector, as long as you have led large noise management strategies.

  • Excellent Engagement and Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences and foster strong stakeholder relationships, to win people over and further drive excellence.

  • Leadership Abilities: Experience in leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams to achieve high performance. In this role, you will be overseeing a matrixed team who are excellent, and you will accelerate their performance.
