Are you an experienced professional with a passion for workforce development, skills training, and community engagement?
Acre is working exclusively with a leading urban regeneration specialist involved in major mixed-use developments across the UK.
As the Employment and Skills Manager, you will be a key player in delivering employment, skills, training, and education programs, primarily in the construction sector but also in local growth areas such as retail and hospitality. You will collaborate closely with the Social Value Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the Employment and Skills Action Plan, creating opportunities for local residents and supporting sustainable growth in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of employment, skills, and training programs, connecting local residents to opportunities in construction and related sectors.
Collaborate with contractors, employers, and local partners to identify recruitment and training needs for various phases of development.
Develop streamlined processes for matching candidates to job roles, ensuring effective employment outcomes.
Build partnerships with training providers, community organizations, and educational institutions to support skills development.
Monitor and report on KPIs, budget progress, and outcomes, ensuring adherence to project goals and timelines.
Key Requirements:
Experience in employment and skills development, particularly within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction job roles, training, and qualifications, including apprenticeships.
Proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including employers, contractors, local authorities, and community organizations.
Experience in developing and managing employment and training initiatives that benefit local communities.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with partners.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
