As the organisation continues to grow, an exciting new Head of Sustainability opportunity has been created which will work closely with the existing Global Director of ESG and HSE, as well as the rest of Kensing's C-suite. This new role is tasked with establishing and executing a cohesive sustainability strategy for the organisation, being the face of Kensing with respect to sustainability with customers and other key stakeholders.
You will also have the opportunity to:
Design and implement a sustainability strategy and associated requirements, practices, policies, procedures and standards across the organization
Develop a strategy for Kensing's scope 3 emissions and report internally and externally
Lead on ESG internally, mentoring leaders on ESG compliance, risk and opportunity
Work with suppliers to gather and monitor data around traceability, ensuring responsible sourcing practices adhere to industry standards (RSPO, RTRS)
Manage all internal and external reporting requirements (CDP, SBTi, EcoVadis)
Be the sustainability/ESG expert in the organisation, ensuring Kensing's journey towards a responsible and sustainable company in collaboration with Operations, HR, procurement, marketing and finance teams
This exciting new position will suit someone who has robust experience in sustainability, ideally in a food or chemical manufacturing environment.
You will also have:
A relevant bachelor's degree in biology/chemistry or something similar, or professional sustainability experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry around sustainability, sourcing in Personal Care and Ingredients; supply chain management, or related field with focus on palm and/or soy sourcing.
Experience developing and implementing a sustainability strategy in a corporate setting
Professional experience in supply chain management and sustainable sourcing
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels and influence stakeholders
An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to be both strategic and hands-on
The ability to travel c25% of the time domestically and internationally
