Are you looking to lead the sustainability strategy for a rural estates group?
Acre is excited to be working exclusively with Grosvenor, an international organisation whose activities span urban property, food and ag-tech, rural estate management and support for philanthropic initiatives, to recruit a sustainability lead for its rural estates activities.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing Grosvenor's sustainability objectives across its rural estates activities, which includes the long-term stewardship of three rural estates in the United Kingdom, an award-winning commercial farm and a state-of-the-art timber processing operation.
This role would be well suited to a holistic sustainability professional with a strong background across environmental and social and who will be able to drive Grosvenor's sustainability strategy.
As the Sustainability Lead - Rural Estates, your main duties will include:
Being the sustainability expert across Grosvenor's rural estates activities, providing knowledge, support and context to ultimately engender and foster a culture of sustainability.
Leading the design of the sustainability objectives, including both environmental and social, in collaboration with the rural estate teams and partners.
Supporting the organisation on the implementation and evolution of a net zero carbon strategy, embedding it across the business.
Setting up and managing ongoing data and reporting processes to support with the efficient collection, analysis and reporting of sustainability data, including measuring progress against specific targets relating to carbon, social benefit, biodiversity and land management.
Guiding and supporting the delivery of specific sustainability projects to support the wider strategy, for example, renewable energy or natural capital.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The ability to influence key stakeholders across the organisation.
The ability to relay complex, often technical, sector terminology into accessible forms.
Previous experience working in sustainability across the rural, built environment or agriculture.
