Acre has been retained by a leading grid-scale Battery Storage client to identify a talented executive to join their team.

Working directly with the CEO, the Senior Vice President will step into a high-impact position and harness their commercial expertise to oversee all revenue-generating activities for the business. This includes but is not limited to managing trading operations, power marketing, key structured transactions, and managing risk on both future and existing assets.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a power marketing strategy - identify key opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholders

  • Oversee power trading operations - manage profitability, develop optimization tools, monitor markets, and ensure compliance

  • Lead commercial analysis - develop thorough market views and price forecasts to impact revenue strategies, market risks, and future project siting

  • Routinely assess commercial division performance to prepare reports for the Board, keeping an 'always can improve' mindset to optimize and chase excellence

  • Assess risks at various business levels and implement management frameworks

  • Foster a winning culture whilst creating a collaborative environment where reports have both the trust to self-perform but mentorship available for their development

  • Interface with Project Development and Interconnection teams by providing market insights that impact future development strategy and existing development activities

Who you are:

  • A power marketing or trading professional with at least 12 years of experience in the power industry

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the complexities within the Natural Gas sector

  • Proven history of closing complex structured transactions and relevant long-term contracts (e.g PPAs)

  • Thorough understanding of risk management and market fundamentals within a power marketing and power trading environment

  • Proven ability to scale world-class teams, retain the talent, and foster strong relationships

  • Renewables or Battery Storage experience a plus, but not a focus
