The Role
Acre is delighted to be working with a highly regarded and well-established legal firm that is leading the way in embedding sustainability into its operations. We are seeking a passionate and proactive Senior Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the firm's ambitious sustainability agenda, supporting their journey to net zero GHG emissions across the value chain by FY2040.
As a key member of the Procurement team, you'll have the opportunity to innovate, influence, and make a tangible impact, ensuring the firm's sustainability values are embedded across its supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a Sustainable Supply Chain programme within Procurement, managing environmental and social impacts effectively.
Collect and analyse meaningful data from the supply chain to enable sustainable decision-making and efficient disclosure.
Enhance supplier and stakeholder sustainability knowledge through training, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Create and implement governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for sustainable procurement.
Integrate sustainability into procurement processes, including contract management and supplier performance evaluation.
Ensure tenders prioritise sustainability as a key criterion and that evaluations reflect this focus.
Collaborate on projects and engagement programmes with key suppliers to drive sustainable practices.
Build and foster internal relationships to align Procurement activities with broader Responsible Business strategies.
Promote sustainable procurement initiatives internally and externally through communications such as newsletters and social media.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring energy, expertise, and a commitment to sustainability. You will have:
A passion for sustainability and the ability to inspire and engage stakeholders.
Experience driving complex change within Procurement or Sustainability environments.
Qualifications such as MCIPS or IEMA (or equivalent).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
