Acre is currently working with a leading, innovative, well-funded startup who have a niche BESS product, specifically focussed on utility-scale solar energy specifically, based in Amsterdam. The founders are some of the most respected people in this space, with a wealth of knowledge between them working for some of the largest names in this space previously.
They're currently looking for a Lead Power Electronics Engineer to head up the design and development of their power electronics system.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of power electronics for utility-scale BESS, including inverters and DC/DC converters.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and external partners to deliver high-performance solutions.
Utilise MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or similar tools for modelling and simulation.
Develop and validate control strategies through HIL and SIL testing.
Ensure regulatory compliance and stay ahead of industry advancements.
Contribute to technical documentation for seamless integration.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in power electronics, electrical engineering, or control systems.
5+ years of experience in power electronics and control software development.
Strong knowledge of power conversion systems, topologies, and components.
Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with microcontrollers.
Expertise in HIL and SIL testing for robust control validation.
Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
Willingness to travel 20-30%.
Eligibility to work in Europe.
