Are you a finance expert who has had exposure to the quantification of environmental risks and opportunities for your organisation, or as a consultant?

Acre is working with a long-term consumer-facing client on a highly progressive and rare opportunity; seeking a finance expert to lead the financial quantification of environmental risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with TCFD, CSRD, CDP, ISSB standards, and the UK Transition Plan. The role will lead on developing models and methods to quantify business risks from climate change and exploring sustainable finance solutions for a low-carbon, nature-positive future.

Your impact:

  • Conduct gap analysis on current climate risk assessments vs. TCFD and CSRD requirements.

  • Develop models to quantify the probability, consequences, and financial impacts of climate risks.

  • Coordinate external consultants for climate scenario analysis and act as the main contact for related business areas.

  • Lead the internal climate finance community to ensure compliance with new standards.

  • Implement a PowerBi forecasting solution to track the impact of action plans on climate targets.

  • Support reporting for both non-financial and financial modelling using scenario analysis.

What you will bring:

  • Strong background in finance and sustainability.

  • Expertise in TCFD, CSRD, and climate risk assessment.

  • Proven experience in developing financial models related to climate change.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate with external consultants.

  • Proficient in PowerBi or similar forecasting tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Familiarity with scenario analysis and sustainability reporting standards.

This newly created opportunity is rarely seen in the corporate sustainability landscape, so if you're a finance professional who has moved into financial impact quantification for environmental topics, please apply below for an initial conversation or contact Liam Goldsworthy at liam.goldsworthy@acre.com for more information.
