Director of Project Execution

Acre has partnered with a high-growth microgrid developer who is effectively scaling their project pipeline year over year. They have industry-leading levels of reliability and resultantly have gained immense interest in their technology for various applications ranging from remote and islanded systems, to EV Charging sites, underserved communities, and utilities. As a result of project growth, they are looking for a Director of Project Execution to lead a large project portfolio (15+ projects) while also leading and scaling a team of project managers, construction managers and supply chain/procurement professionals.

This remote position (US-based west coast) comes with high levels of autonomy and ownership over the development of their Project Execution group's standards. You'd lead a cross-functional team of multidisciplinary folks responsible for the cradle-to-grave pre-construction and execution of cutting-edge microgrid solutions.

You'd be responsible for:

• Leading the full cradle-to-grave EPC process for microgrid applications through project completion

• Leading and growing a high-performing team (PMs, Construction, Supply Chain) and owning the budget for the project execution division

• Lead the strategic execution of turnkey projects identifying and mitigating risks

• Owning a portfolio of complex EPC projects acting as the primary stakeholder to external engineering partners/subcontractors

• Define ways of working/best practices and optimize existing procedures/practices

You will have:

• B.S. Engineering or related field with 7+ years' experience executing renewable energy projects (solar + BESS preferred) in a role with oversight of a large portfolio of 10+ projects

• PMP and experience working with utilities is a plus

• Experience managing teams of project managers, construction managers, and external engineering partners/contractors

• Demonstrated success in leading teams while optimizing and building new procedures
