Acre has partnered with an exciting growth stage start-up in the CO2 utilization sector that has created a desperately needed and completely unique process that can repurpose carbon into high-value chemicals for industrial applications with ZERO emissions. They have won numerous global awards for their solutions and has been awarded a plethora of private and federal contracts. As they are looking to build their first commercial plant, they need a Director of Process Engineering to take charge of the group.
Reporting into the VP of Engineering, we are looking for a Director of Process Engineering to come in and lead the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of their new plant and beyond.
Your responsibilities are:
Lead the entire department consisting of instrumentation & controls, process design, safety, mechanical and plant operations engineering teams
Serve as the technical expert and hands-on leader from design and specification stages, through commissioning and operations.
Define the infrastructure and ways of working for the new engineering center
For major capital projects, collaborate with suppliers, architects, EPCs and engineers to ensure designs and equipment align with project goals and requirements.
Your background consists of:
B.S.+ with 20+ years' experience in chemical engineering, process development and operations is required
Inarguable technical expertise in process engineering, ideally coming from a background with proven experience as the Director of Engineering in charge of new plant development in industrial chemical processing, petrochemical, consumer chemicals, oil & gas (O&G), universal oil products (UOP), etc.
Excellent project management skills with experience leading the development of plants.
Outstanding leadership skills with at least 5 years of Director level leadership experience
