Removall Carbon is a Paris-based firm that specialises in impact carbon finance services, enabling organisations to achieve ambitious climate goals, while developing and structuring collaborative and tailored carbon funds and implementing rigorous and ambitious carbon offset programs.

The organisation brings deep knowledge of carbon offsetting projects and mechanisms. The team strives daily to push the market towards greater impact and transparency by only supporting projects that have real, measurable co-benefits and equitable profit-sharing.

They aim to become a market leader in the provision of carbon solutions, designing innovative carbon funds and implementing rigorous carbon offset programs. The business development and client team play an important role by growing the client base across Europe.

To support the growth of the Company, Removall is looking for a Carbon Project Manager. Reporting to Carbon Projects Director, the role holder will oversee Removall's diverse and growing portfolio of nature-based solutions and high-impact community projects, and will travel regularly to project sites/ meet with stakeholders (20% of the time).



As a Carbon Project Manager, you will be:

  • Managing and monitoring the portfolio of carbon projects in which the Company invests in, many of which are located across Africa. Project types include nature-based solutions and high-impact community projects, certified by voluntary carbon standards (VCS, Gold Standard, etc.)

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for partners on ongoing projects, managing and nurturing the partner relationship.

  • Supporting partners in the operational implementation of projects. Monitoring carbon certification work, and validate key deliverables (Project Design Documents, Monitoring Reports, etc.).

  • Coordinating audits conducted by independent external auditors, and provide support to local partners during audits with external verifiers.

  • Conducting site visits and audits on behalf of Removall, monitoring project budgets and associated reporting.



You will be able to leverage the following skills and experience in this role:

  • Significant experience in international project management in the environment or development sector (NGOs, international cooperation, etc.).

  • Field experience in lower and middle-income countries. Ideally, you would have on-the-ground experience in Africa.

  • Experience and knowledge of voluntary carbon certification mechanisms (VCS or Gold Standard).

  • You would ideally be fluent in both French and English; any additional foreign language is a plus.

  • Ability to lead groups of stakeholders, drive project momentum, and have the agility to adapt to changing situations.
