About the Role

As an Account Director, you will oversee strategic relationships with key customers, ensuring exceptional delivery of services and driving organic growth opportunities. You will lead the Account Management function, manage a team of Account Analysts, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impacts for clients. This is a dynamic role requiring strategic thinking, relationship management, and a commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Account Management function and ensure the delivery of agreed customer deliverables.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Commercial Services Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their drivers and aligning deliverables to meet their needs.
  • Develop annual account plans, ensuring realistic and achievable expectations in collaboration with Commercial Services and Operations teams.
  • Lead the delivery of strategic water management projects, including procurement, risk reporting, and disclosure.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events and conferences, contributing to thought leadership and business development efforts.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, identify opportunities for upselling additional services, and support new customer acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial management, including invoicing and budgeting.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sustainability-focused account management or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Passion for sustainability and water management, with an understanding of its strategic importance for businesses.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen to identify growth opportunities and improve processes.
