Acre has been retained by an innovator in ocean-based CDR, to recruit a Vice President of Sales, reporting directly to the C-Suite who will lead commercial strategy and business development for the business moving forward.
Our client is an early Series round start-up that are close to closing a large round of investment, using the capital to develop their first commercial stage facility. Their technology not only helps to sequester carbon - at a massive scale - but also helps to protect and restore the overall health of the ocean for generations to come. This is a truly exciting technology that, when scaled, could far eclipse other formats of CDR in terms of volume of removals.
The VP of Sales will be the most senior commercial executive in the business and will be tasked to set pricing strategies for future carbon credit sales, working closely with the founding team, their scientists, and engineers. Although this is a strategic role, a large portion of this will be direct outbound sales, driving engagement with large corporate and industrial clients to ultimately secure offtake for tens of thousands of credits over the next few years.
Key Success Criteria:
It is essential that this person has a deep knowledge of the global market for carbon credits & offsets including the policy landscape for permanent removals.
This is a senior sales role and as such this person must have a long track record of success in a direct sales capacity. This experience could have been in another industry before you transitioned into the carbon space.
Experience selling and or communicating highly technical products and processes to a wide audience.
Passion and drive to help scale an early-stage organization.
