Acre is partnering with a rapidly growing FTSE-listed client to find an experienced Carbon Manager to play a crucial role in advancing their sustainability initiatives on an initial 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will assist clients in achieving their decarbonisation goals by transforming carbon data into actionable insights and services. You'll collaborate with internal experts across various domains, including operations, procurement, and ESG Reporting, and serve as the carbon subject matter expert for clients and the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal teams to communicate Scope 1, 2, and 3 performance and Science Based Target roadmap to clients
Act as the subject matter expert in meetings with key customers
Identify alignment opportunities with customer goals and manage collaborations
Develop and deliver training to enhance Sales colleagues' understanding of company-wide sustainability targets
Establish governance for customer sustainability disclosures across Sales, Marketing, and Innovation
Improve data methodologies for customer disclosures, collaborating with key teams.
Create carbon tools for the Customer Sustainability team to handle site and product requests
Develop self-service tools for standardized carbon disclosures for sales teams
Oversee preparation of customer carbon disclosures through various platforms
Manage Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) and enhance centralized data access
Collaborate with the LCA Manager and Design & Innovation team to integrate product carbon into decision-making tools
Align with science-based targets and advise on best practices
Provide analysis on carbon performance compared to industry standards and FTSE 100 leaders
Represent the company in industry working groups, advocating for alignment in carbon methodologies
Desired Qualifications:
Degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
Strong analytical and Excel skills, with experience in data modelling and reporting tools
Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of connecting with diverse stakeholders and translating technical knowledge effectively
At least 3 years of experience in engineering or on-site energy, understanding factors affecting Scope 1 and 2 emissions
