We are partnering with SustainCERT, a fast-growing, sustainability-focused audit/ certification services providerthat specializes in climate impact verification for carbon markets and Scope 3 emissions. The Company is seeking a Vice President of Audit (VP Audit)located in the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, France, or Switzerland to spearhead the development of a world-class audit function, deliver exceptional results, and scale operations to support its ambitious international expansion plans.

This is a leadership role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on collaboration and client work. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will oversee the Company's verification services, mentor a talented team of auditors, and drive the creation of innovative propositions in partnership with industry leaders.

What You'll Do

Build a Best-in-Class Audit Function

  • Develop and implement a roadmap to deliver industry-leading audit services.

  • Optimize processes across carbon and Scope 3 teams, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Lead the Delivery of High-Quality Audits

  • Ensure industry-leading compliance for audits company-wide.

  • Consistently deliver audits on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.

Lead and Scale a High-Performing Team

  • Grow a team of auditors with industry-leading expertise across the different services.

  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture while supporting team members' professional growth.

Drive Innovation and Develop New Services

  • Lead the design and scaling of new audit services tailored to evolving market trends.

  • Shape the strategic direction of the Company's service propositions to meet client needs.

Exceed Client Expectations

  • Cultivate a culture of exceptional client communication and service.

  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and lasting partnerships.

Collaborate Across Functions

  • Work closely with other functional leaders to deliver impactful initiatives.

  • Balance operational strategy with financial goals to drive sustainable growth.

What You'll Bring

Audit Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental or sustainability auditing, with a strong focus on carbon markets and Scope 3 reporting.

  • In-depth knowledge of standards such as ISO 14065, ISO 17069, and GHG Protocol.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Proven ability to lead and scale teams of 15+ auditors.

  • Experience mentoring and developing talent to create a high-performing, engaged team.

Strategic Vision

  • Skilled in designing and implementing long-term strategies that align with organizational goals.

  • Adept at identifying and developing new propositions to meet market demands.

Exceptional Communication Skills

  • Ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including C-suite audiences.

  • Strong collaborative skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Operational Excellence

  • Proven success in managing a large volume of audits while maintaining compliance and efficiency.
