Are you passionate about sustainability, good with data and reporting, and are looking to make the second or third step in your career towards a broad sustainability function in Private Equity?

Acre is partnering with a leading PE firm in Paris who are extending their sustainability team. Working directly with the Head of Sustainability, and in the value creation team, you'll have the opportunity to gain experience with both hands-on reporting and broad strategic sustainability work.

Sustainability sits within the value creation department, which means you'll also be able to work on growing the companies in their portfolio through a sustainability lens.

The sustainability team plays a crucial role in:

  • Collaborating with portfolio companies and deal teams to identify and implement impactful sustainability initiatives

  • Providing internal consulting support or connecting portfolio companies with specialised external providers

  • Managing reporting obligations to investors and regulatory bodies

Your role will involve namely supporting the implementation of our sustainability strategy, data management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with investment teams and portfolio companies to enhance sustainability performance and reporting.

As a Sustainability Analyst, you will have the following key responsibilities:

  1. ESG Data Management and Reporting:

  • Coordinate ESG data collection from portfolio companies

  • Ensure data quality and consistency across the portfolio

  • Develop and maintain ESG reporting systems and processes

  • Respond to and manage LP ESG questionnaires and information requests

  • Assist in preparing the sustainability annual report

  1. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with evolving ESG regulations, including SFDR, EU Taxonomy, and CSRD

  • Support the implementation of regulatory requirements for the fund and portfolio companies

  • Assist in preparing regulatory reporting requirements (SFDR, PAI, LEC29)

  1. Portfolio Company Support:

  • Provide guidance and support to portfolio companies on CSR topics (e.g. carbon, CSRD requirements, SBTi, EU Taxonomy, etc.)

  • Assist in developing and implementing CSR action plans for portfolio companies

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the portfolio

  1. ESG Integration:

  • Support the integration of ESG considerations into investment processes

  • Contribute to ESG due diligence at both entry and exit

  • Assist in developing and monitoring ESG KPIs for portfolio companies

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical, project management, and presentation abilities

    • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders - you'll need outstanding interpersonal communication capabilities.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Languages: Fluent in French and English

  • Personal Qualities:

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    • Capacity to work autonomously

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively

    • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for sustainability and Private Equity

  • Experience: Solid experience in ESG, sustainability, or related fields, preferably in financial services or consulting.
