This newly created Senior Sustainability Manager role presents a unique opportunity to drive meaningful environmental impact within their high-profile Investment Property Group (IPG) portfolio. You will spearhead innovative sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organisation's ambitious Climate Action Strategy (CAS) while contributing to a more sustainable built environment.
Impact
Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Lead, you will take ownership of sustainability strategy development and execution, embedding ESG principles across a diverse London property portfolio. Your leadership will shape the long-term resilience and environmental performance of these assets.
Key responsibilities include:
Driving Decarbonisation: Identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and optimise environmental performance.
Advancing Sustainable Building Practices: Leading the integration of renewable energy, waste reduction, and water conservation strategies across the portfolio.
Project Management & Delivery: Overseeing design and execution of decarbonisation projects, ensuring tangible sustainability outcomes.
ESG & Compliance Leadership: Providing strategic recommendations on MEES, BREEAM, CRREM, UKGBC, NABERS, and WELL standards, influencing investment, acquisition, and development decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Preparing and presenting ESG and Climate Action Strategy reports that showcase sustainability achievements.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
A proven track record of delivering energy efficiency and decarbonisation programs within real estate, investment, or fund management environments.
Experience in building systems, with a focus on energy optimisation.
Practical knowledge of BMS systems, project tendering, and implementation.
Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders, translating technical insights into actionable, commercially viable sustainability strategies.
