Acre has been retained by a global energy commodities business to support the building of a new state-of-the-art Renewables Division in North America. Our client currently operates hundreds of assets around the world and recently entered a multi-billion-dollar deal with one of the world's largest private equity firms to transition their portfolio to low-carbon and renewable technologies.
Reporting to the Head of North America, this M&A Lead will take a deal lead position as the organization looks to aggressively acquire various stage assets within solar, wind, and battery storage. This role will also work closely with the country manager and executive team on expanding the M&A strategy and overseeing the financial aspects of project acquisitions.
Provided with significant capital and support to grow the business, this role will be responsible for onboarding 4+GWs of operational assets by 2029, accompanied by a development pipeline exceeding 10GW.
Key Success Criteria:
Minimum of 8 years proven transaction experience in utility-scale renewables, ideally buy-side
Strong financial acumen to assess various business opportunities and discuss bidding strategy
Comfortability being deal lead in key acquisition negotiations
Experience acquiring projects across multiple key power markets in North America
