The Opportunity
As the Director of International Advisory, you will hold a pivotal leadership role in steering Position Green's growth within the sustainability consulting market across EU and the UK. Your core responsibilities will include defining the direction of our advisory services, building and managing high-performing teams, and fostering innovative solutions to meet market demands. You will actively shape Position Green's strategic vision in response to evolving ESG regulations and sustainability challenges, positioning us as trusted partners in our clients' sustainability journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
Lead and inspire Position Green's international advisory team, setting clear objectives and ensuring the delivery of impactful results.
Develop the overall strategic direction of the advisory services, aligning with market trends, emerging sustainability regulations, and client needs across EU and the UK.
Act as a thought leader, identifying innovative approaches to sustainability consulting and driving the evolution of advisory offerings.
Client Engagement & Business Growth:
Build, nurture, and expand long-term client relationships with multinational corporations, fostering trust and positioning Position Green as a go-to sustainability partner.
Collaborate closely with Position Green's software sales and senior leadership teams to identify synergies and drive integrated projects combining advisory and technology solutions.
Spearhead business development initiatives, securing new opportunities and expanding the client base.
Team Development & Coaching:
Mentor and coach a team of talented consultants, fostering their professional growth and ensuring delivery excellence.
Oversee resource allocation and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, project management, and client satisfaction.
Market Insights & Innovation:
Monitor ESG trends, regulations (CSRD, IFRS, TCFD), and client challenges to anticipate market shifts and adapt advisory services accordingly.
Design bespoke solutions, including decarbonization strategies and integrated ESG frameworks, tailored to clients across diverse sectors such as energy, retail, logistics, and construction.
Qualifications and Experience
A proven track record and experience in management consulting or sustainability consulting at a strategic level, with exposure to various industrial sectors.
Expertise in ESG frameworks, regulations, and standards across EU and the UK, including CSRD, IFRS, and TCFD.
Proven success in business development, project execution, and delivering results for complex, multinational clients.
Strong leadership experience, including managing cross-functional teams and resource planning.
MSc in a relevant field (finance, business economics, sustainability, or development studies). MBA or other advanced qualifications are a plus.
Fluency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in other European languages such as Dutch is advantageous.

This role is based in Amsterdam, London or Brussels within Position Green's international advisory team of strategic consultants spanning Europe.
