Offstream is seeking a dedicated professional to help drive its mission of decarbonizing the world. This is a unique opportunity to lead in understanding crediting and compliance frameworks across the US and globally, making a significant impact on Offstream's success and growth. Reporting directly to the C-Suite, this role will be pivotal in shaping the organization's future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Offstream's internal and external expert on carbon compliance standards.

  • Leverage expertise in carbon and green energy project development to support customers' success in project development and operations.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement new compliance standards and frameworks into Offstream's product.

  • Author LCA reports for submission to compliance standard bodies (e.g., CARB, IRS, DOE, or Puro.Earth).

  • Provide judgment and guidance to customers on carbon compliance matters.

  • Mentor new team members and disseminate knowledge about project development, compliance, and best practices throughout the company.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience consulting for project developers or working as a VVB, especially for bio-energy, fuel production, or carbon removal projects.

  • 3+ years of experience completing and submitting ISO-compliant LCAs for project developers.

  • Familiarity with LCAs under various crediting frameworks, such as CA LCFS, IRA tax credits, and voluntary carbon market standards.

  • Deep knowledge of the challenges faced by project developers in complying with crediting standards.

  • Understanding of federal and state-level incentives like CA LCFS, EPA RFS, and IRA tax credits (e.g., 45Q, 45V, 45Z).

  • BS/MS in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Passion for working in a startup environment and excelling in a small, dynamic team.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
