Are you an experienced communications/ public relations professional with an interest in ESG/Sustainability? Then read on.
Our client, a leading non-profit housing aggregator are seeking to appoint a self-starting individual to the position of ESG Strategy and Communications Manager to oversee the integration of ESG across the business.
With your experience in communications / public relations, you will have impact across several business streams including communications and marketing, product development, reporting and disclosure and treasury.
The day to day:
Principle elements of the working day would include supporting the business in the development and implementation of the company's ESG strategy as well as setting up new ESG reporting functions. With the support of a media agency, you will also provide support to various teams for communications with investors and clients with ESG as a key focus.
Other responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining the company's ESG strategy in conjunction with the CEO and senior leadership
Communicating the ESG strategy at board level
Preparing strategic and regular communications and marketing materials for both an external and internal audience
Support client visits and conferences with an ESG focus
Analyse and assist ESG performance of borrowers both existing and prospective
Leading ESG data collection
Build and maintain knowledge of ESG, decarbonisation and sustainable policy and trends in relation to bond markets and social housing
Liaising with an external PR firm to prepare and support other relevant comms materials including briefings, presentations, press releases and other miscellaneous copy writing
Your skills and experience:
The ideal applicant is a self-motivated individual that has strong communication skills and the ability to convey key messages to stakeholders. Additionally, the applicant should be well versed in emerging trends within the ESG space, particularly from a public policy, housing sector or financial services lens. They will also be aware of the nature of sustainable reporting requirements, specifically in the HA sector. Prior experience of working with ESG/sustainability is preferred but it is not essential.
