As a key strategic leader, the CFO will foster innovation, develop partnerships, and support the executive team's ambitions. They will lead a high-performing team, provide global economic insight, and oversee financial operations, planning, risk management, and compliance. As CFO you will:
Develop and Implement Financial Strategies: Working closely with the CEO, CCO and other key leaders, lead the creation of comprehensive short-, medium-, and long-term financial strategies, ensuring policies and procedures align with the organisation's goals and drive sustainable growth. You will understand the global economic markets, and horizon scan for opportunities and risks.
Drive Financial Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and ethical standards while safeguarding the organisation's assets and reputation.
Deliver Financial Insights and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights for the executive team, supporting data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Optimise Financial Operations: Manage cash flow, capital structure, and financial systems to support operational efficiency, maximize return on investment, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities and risk appetite.
Manage Investments and Partnerships: Oversee the organisation's investment portfolio, guide governance for start-up investments, and provide financial expertise for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, including due diligence and integration.
Enhance Financial Performance Management: Collaborate with senior leaders to develop financial models, business cases, and performance metrics that enable effective resource allocation, profitability analysis, and organisational impact.
Foster a High-Performing Finance Team: Build, lead, and mentor a skilled finance and legal team, promoting innovation, talent development, and a customer-focused, results-oriented culture.
You will bring:
Proven Financial Leadership: Extensive experience driving financial excellence and delivering strategic value at a senior level in dynamic, growth-oriented environments. You'll drive the function to maximise impact and commercial success through effective finance partnering.
Strategic Financial and Commercial Expertise: Strong background in financial planning, analysis, corporate finance, and risk management, with a track record of implementing strategies to support commercial growth.
Analytical and Collaborative Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret complex financial data, deliver actionable insights, and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including C-suite and Board members.
Innovative and forward-thinking approach: Familiarity with emerging technologies and digital transformation in financial management to drive operational efficiency.
Professional Qualifications: ACA, ACCA designation preferred, with a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; an advanced degree is desirable.
