Acre has been retained by a developer of an exciting, established Carbon Repurposing / Utilization Technology which, at scale, will flip problematic greenhouse gasses into a resource, converting carbon into carbon-negative chemicals and fuels for shipping, aviation, space exploration, and much more.
Reporting directly to the C-Suite, the Vice President of Government Affairs will lead our client's efforts to advance policies and initiatives specific to Sustainable Aviation Fuel and fuel security initiatives at both the federal and state levels. Thisis positioned to be a truly influential role, not only in our client's business but the broader SAF landscape serving as a thought leader in sustainable aviation policy, interfacing with top government officials and industry stakeholders to promote and advance clean energy and fuel innovation at large.
At the same time, there will be a strong commercial remit for this person to identify and originate long-term deployment opportunities based on US and global regulatory & policy environments. This role requires a deep understanding of policy trends, not only in the US but ideally also in international markets, primarily focusing on policy mapping, advocacy & stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring:
A track record of work related to Regulatory Affairs & Government Policy in the Fuels Economy, Clean Energy Industry, or Nuclear, Aviation, Defense, and/or Space exploration sectors.
This experience must be predominantly in North America. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of US climate and energy policy trends and, ideally a handle on international markets.
Experience working on legislative processes at both state and federal levels, with a heavy focus on federal. Deep knowledge of lobbying ethics rules and disclosure requirements.
