Acre is working with a leading bank to help them hire a Transition Planning and Reporting Manager. They are one of the leading banks in the UK with a strong commitment to sustainability and an ambition to reduce financed emissions by 50% by 2030. Reporting into the Lead for Transition Planning, you will be working on further developing the transition planning strategy and measurement approaches while also building the team's environmental and sustainability knowledge.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the development of environmental sustainability measurement, transition planning and reporting across the group
Developing the team's understanding of nature and implications on transition planning
Engaging with external stakeholders such as GFANZ, CDP, UK TPT
Coordinating responses and inputs for external climate surveys like CDP
Building the team's knowledge of environmental sustainability, emerging trends and regulations
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience in transition planning and knowledge of environmental reporting frameworks
Understanding of transition finance principles and systems thinking for environmental issues
Understanding of adaptation, circular economy, and nature interdependencies will be beneficial
Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
