Acre has partnered with a strategic change consultancy on a mission to move the food industry from observing on the sidelines to actively participating in climate action.

In this newly created role of a Sustainability Communications Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with leading retailers, brands, and businesses in the food industry on a range of exciting communications projects that push the boundaries on next-generation sustainability performance and communications.

You will also:

  • Generate inspiring and compelling content on behalf of their food industry clients across a range of media, including impact and disclosure reports, website, video, social media, stakeholder presentations, and sustainability narratives. Define impactful messaging in line with client objectives and audience needs.

  • Lead and manage data and disclosure requirements for communication projects where relevant, including sustainability metric collation and disclosure copy.

  • Create and deliver compelling, engaging annual reports aligned to frameworks and industry best practice

  • Knowledge and understanding of the key Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting and disclosure frameworks and legislation.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Strong experience in Sustainability Communications with an agency background and storytelling skills.

  • Expert in mandatory sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP), understanding who they are relevant for and what best practice looks like

  • Have excellent people skills, strategically influencing to drive successful ESG communications at all levels.
