Acre has partnered with a world leader in a new form of carbon capture technology that captures CO2 directly from air and mineralizes it. They cleared the research and development phase and are now focused on scaling their teams for global project execution and deployment.

They are looking for a Senior Scientist to come in and perfect their measurement technologies and practices. You'd be a fundamental hire responsible for charting their path related to monitoring and analyzing Carbon Flux in their projects, which is essential to their MRV process, and you would ultimately own the measurement technology roadmap and operations thereof.

To be successful in this role, you'd bring forward...

  • A Ph.D. or M.S. +5 years' experience in Micrometeorology, Geology, Soil Science, Agronomy, Hydrology, Geochemistry or related field

  • Expertise in measuring gas flux between the Earth's surface (soil) and the atmosphere (Eddy Covariance, Dynamic Closed Chamber Analysis, etc.)

  • Strength in data analysis and statistical analysis of large data sets

  • Knowledge of the mining industry and carbon dioxide removal pathways

  • Ability to travel to international sites for trip durations of up to 2 weeks
