Acre is proud to be supporting The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), an international non-profit promoting sustainable fishing to protect oceans.
They certify fisheries that meet strict standards and allow them to use the blue MSC ecolabel. This label helps consumers choose sustainable seafood, driving market transformation and supporting marine ecosystems and communities. The MSC is looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to plan, deliver and shape impactful marketing campaigns, increasing awareness, understanding and trust of the MSC in the Netherlands.
The MSC's vision is for the world's oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations. Through their internationally recognised certification and eco-labelling program, well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded in the marketplace, through the leadership of their partners. Over 670 fisheries around the world, representing 19% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC program and MSC-certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 66 countries.
You will be responsible for:
Developing influential marketing campaigns and PR, media, and press opportunities at both B2C and B2B levels, aiming to generate broad public awareness and support for the MSC program.
Enhancing audience understanding by creating, delivering, and disseminating relevant and compelling information tailored to diverse audiences.
Increasing the visibility and impact of the MSC program through strategic media and campaign efforts, ensuring effective communication and engagement with different stakeholder groups.
While focusing on their mission to end overfishing, this role connects with many areas across the MSC. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with a varied work week - from building and promoting new engaging campaigns and communication, driving PR, media and press opportunities, to visiting leading supermarket chains to pitch joint marketing campaign opportunities, to developing and visiting events and making engaging video content with influencers, bloggers and ambassadors.
You will already have:
A university degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or business management, with strong experience in managing marketing campaigns and partner communications.
Proven expertise in PR, media relations, and collaborating with stakeholders to create compelling, targeted communications using global and local content.
Dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic team player with creativity and professionalism, fluent in Dutch and English.
