Managing Director – Nature-based Solutions

Our client is an investment intelligence company for nature-based solutions. For over a decade, they have been a leader in the field of impact investments to scale nature-based solutions in areas such as energy infrastructure, agricultural commodities, and coastal resilience. Driven by data and analytics, their programmes are creating new ways to connect global finance with an investment pipeline of nature-based projects and companies on a global scale.

They are seeking a Managing Director to sit within the leadership team of their fast-paced business. The leadership team is made up of the Director of Operations & Finance, the Chair, and the Founder/CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day leadership of the organisation and bring a strong hands-on impact investment background and entrepreneurial drive.

• Work across private, public, and philanthropic investments whilst creating blended finance solutions. A capability to engage with the content.

• Deliver key projects, catalyse investment vehicles, and steer the company through a growth phase.

• To work alongside the CEO to develop a series of exciting developments to structure new opportunities across investment themes.

Key Requirements

• Hands-on experience within impact investment, including producing high-quality investment analysis and the design of investment vehicles across blended finance.

• Had a leadership position within a boutique company, shaped strategic growth, and engaged with clients and funders in a commercially minded way.

• Led the development of an agile and entrepreneurial culture whilst going through a growth phase.
