Acre is currently working with a scale-up business that is dedicated to tackling climate change through adaptation, CO2 reduction, and building social enterprises that lift people out of poverty and protect the environment.

Our client is looking to identify an IT/Data Consultant to support on an initial part-time 6-month contract to set up IT/Data infrastructure for the business.

This will involve: Building out a CRM/ERP to store and process data alongside another IT/Data analyst, information gathering for project methodologies, designing collection surveys and importing into the CRM in a digestible manner, overseeing data integrity for the VVBs (Validating and verification Bodies) & also further website integration.

The UK-based team will primarily be responsible for the delivery of the carbon programmes. You will be handling data collection and data management required for audit by VVBs to meet the gold standard methodology requirements which is collected from the on-the-ground teams.

You will be the point person for the Data/IT here in the UK and working in parallel with a counterpart in Africa who has recently been introduced to the business to handle some of their IT requirements to begin streamlining data collection with APIs, transferring from the data collection program into the CRM.

Further responsibilities:

  • Building the Ragic database to store and process the data required for calculating and evidencing the emission reductions (ERs)

  • Collecting the correct data needed for the project methodologies

  • Designing the correct data collection surveys and importing them into the database in an easy and streamlined manner

  • Confidence in the integrity of the data held and can be investigated by third-party VVBs (Validation and Verification Bodies) as part of the Gold Standard accreditation process

  • Presenting the data in a visually appealing manner

  • Integrating this with private and public sections of the website

  • Integrating Data Backup, Recovery, Cyber Security, further website integration and hosting

Experience/qualifications:

  • Ideally minimum of 4-5 year's experience working in IT and Data

  • Ability to deliver in a scale-up project and take initiative in day-to-day tasks

  • Previous experience in tailoring CRM/Database to meet business requirements

  • Available to start ASAP

This person will need to ensure the IT infrastructure is fit for purpose, but the main concern is that they are set up for digital monitoring reporting and validation systems and processes (dMRV).
