Compassion in World Farming believes that everyone has the right to healthy food that does not involve cruelty, does not involve suffering, and does not destroy our planet.
As the internationally leading farm welfare charity, they collaborate with some of the world's biggest food companies, all on the mission to drive towards an ethical and sustainable food supply.
Now in a phase of growth and development, they are seeking a Food Business Manager to join them to support across account management, commercial activities, and relationship development.
In this role, you will be:
Actively engaging with food businesses across the EU to integrate animal welfare improvements into policies, and programmes, and maximizing impacts on supply chains. Key areas of focus will include commitments toward better chicken, removal of cages in farms, and higher welfare.
Developing solution strategies and roadmaps for a range of food businesses, supporting them on their journey to being more ethically and environmentally sound.
Keeping Compassion in World Farming up to speed with any emerging trends in the animal welfare space, continuing to be positioned as market leaders in the welfare and charity space internationally for farming and animals.
Representing Compassion in World Farming externally, networking and championing participation in relevant events and conferences. With a commercial mindset, you will pro-actively make use of these engagements and continue to build the client portfolio.
Compassion in World Farming focus on not only ethics within farming, but also the environmental impacts. With multiple projects centred around re-thinking food and exploring solutions for a humane sustainable future, they are seeking someone open-minded to new ways of growing further.
You already have:
A solutions-oriented approach to managing multiple accounts and relations at once, with the drive to continue building and developing further.
Experience in the supply chain, account, or commercial management. You will also have a passion to be involved in a purpose-driven team and organisation at the forefront of complex issues in animal welfare.
The ability to convince, negotiate and have your voice heard as a credible source when engaging both internally and externally.
If you feel you match some of the requirements for this opportunity but not all, you should apply. Compassion in World Farming prides itself on its diversity and inclusion and there is no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate. If you are confident that you can add value and are motivated to join this sustainable unique organisation, apply, or reach out to ruth.smith@acre.com with any inquiries.
