Acre has partnered with a global innovator in the carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) space that has scaled their technology and has commercialized with several infrastructure scale projects deployed to date. As they continue to license their technology, there is an increasing need for their process engineering team to bring the design of their commercial process controls package in-house and so they are looking for a Senior Process Controls Engineer to own said project.
Based remotely in your home office, you'd be responsible for:
Spearhead the end-to-end development of their distributed control systems from conceptual talks with vendors through in-plant commissioning
Develop the procedural infrastructure of the process controls engineering group and all associated documentation
Develop and review DCS and PLC logic (understanding of ladder logic and PLC programming is helpful)
Strategize and lead the execution and development of a standardized commercial control systems package to be licensed with their plant technology
From an experience standpoint, you will have:
A B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical engineering with 5-15 years experience in control systems design
Experience designing and implementing distributed control systems (DCS) and safety instrumented systems (SIS) for one or more of the following industrial areas is required: hydrogen, ammonia, ethanol, methanol, gas processing, air separation, coal gasification, biomass gasification, methane reforming, petrochemical, chemical production or refineries
Experience managing systems integrators and EPCs for various control projects in the capacity of owners engineer/technical expert
Experience with Emerson Delta V DCS, PLC programming preferred
