As an Environmental Advisor, you will join the Sustainability team, supporting the ongoing development and implementation of the organisation's environmental management system. Reporting to the Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will collaborate closely with operational staff, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and advancing the company's sustainability goals.
This is a remote role with on-site travel (1-2 days a week) across the Midlands, Southeast, and East.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development, implementation and oversight of the Environmental Management System (EMS) aligned with ISO14001 certification.
Lead environmental advisory services, working with staff to meet environmental responsibilities and enhance environmental knowledge across the organisation.
Assist with environmental reports, management reviews, and procurement processes to incorporate sustainability considerations.
Identify opportunities for waste reduction, emission reduction, and external partnerships that align with the company's environmental values.
Key Requirements:
Passion and proven knowledge for environmental sustainability, with experience in a similar role or relevant academic background.
Willingness to travel across company locations in the Midlands, Southeast and East (1-2 days per week) and work independently from home as needed.
Familiarity with ISO14001-certified environmental management systems.
Experience working with regulatory bodies and conducting site visits, audits, and incident investigations.
Valid UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
