Our client, a leading private equity firm dedicated to energy transition and innovation, managing over €6 billion in assets. As the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will assist the CFO with all aspects of financial management. You will lead and manage the accounting and finance team, oversee financial reporting and analysis, ensure compliance with regulations, and support strategic financial initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in optimising cash management, communicating financial performance, and evaluating business development opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and manage a high-performing accounting and finance team while fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
Assist the CFO in planning and managing the company's financial activities. Oversee financial statements, reports, and budget forecasts, and monitor and improve performance indicators.
Support tax-related decisions and ensure compliance with accounting standards while collaborating with internal teams to adhere to financial policies.
Manage cash flows, investments, and liquidity. Develop models for cash needs and optimize surplus/deficit management while implementing strategies to maximize returns within risk policies.
Coordinate external financial communications, including reports and presentations. Ensure compliance with communication standards, and act as the primary contact for analysts, shareholders, and stakeholders.
Assist in implementing acquisitions and developing strategic partnerships. Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities and participate in negotiations and due diligence.
Lead strategic financial projects such as process optimizations, digitalization, M&A, and fundraising. Assess financial viability and align projects with strategic objectives.
Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support decision-making, prepare and present financial reports, and collaborate with auditors on financial audits.
Assist in creating new funds abroad and manage relationships with fund custodians.
Your Profile
Over 10 years of experience in a similar role within a leading international private equity firm or a listed company.
University degree in Corporate Finance & Accounting, MBA, or CFA.
Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and financial sector regulations.
Advanced skills in financial analysis and modelling.
Proven experience in financial communication and managing corporate acquisitions.
Bilingual in French and English with excellent writing skills.
Proven leadership and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strategic mindset with a vision of long-term objectives.
Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and influence executive-level decisions.
