Who is Acre?
Acre has led sustainability-focused search and talent development since 2003, with a dedicated sustainable finance team launched over 10 years ago.
Now with a 25+ strong team, we have successfully completed over 450 searches globally in the last 2 years from our offices in London, New York, Amsterdam and Singapore.
Our consultants cover core responsible investment functions such as corporate governance, stewardship, ESG integration, sustainability research and data analytics, as well as any investment role that is running, or directly supporting, sustainable/impact investing funds across both public and private markets.
Who will be speaking?
Ian Povey-Hall - Global Head of Sustainable Finance
Ian manages Acre’s London team and leads commercial development globally for Acre’s Sustainable Finance & Impact Investing practice. Ian’s particular focus is on executive search projects, investment team lifts and advisory work to facilitate strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities.
Emma Penny - Client Director, Investment Management, EMEA
Emma leads Acre’s senior-level searches for non-execs, CEOs, CSOs, COOs, CIOs/senior investment professionals, risk managers as well as senior distribution professionals across EMEA investment management.
Before joining Acre, Emma spent 12 years with Heidrick & Struggles in both Hong Kong and London, most recently leading the EMEA asset management and EMEA sustainable finance practices working on cross-border client relationships and conducting senior-level executive search and assessment projects. Emma is Vice Chair of the CFA UK Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Network and has been a committee member since 2016.
Paddy Balfour - Head of Sustainable Finance, APAC
Paddy has spent over 15 years working across multiple markets in the APAC region, with relationships in the finance and commercial sectors. At Acre, he is specifically aligned with the growth of the business’ sustainable finance, impact investing and sustainable energy practice across APAC. This includes working with banks, insurers, pension funds, investment managers, private debt, equity & real-asset funds, family offices and foundations.
