Respondents in North America who took part in our new Census have expressed the greatest satisfaction with the resources available to them, compared to other regions.
The Sustainability Census 2023/24, conducted by Acre and Carnstone, offers insight into the true state of the sustainability profession to capture an accurate, global snapshot of working in a sustainability-related profession today.
The report explores the full breadth of the sustainability employment landscape, including the allocation of team resources by region (United Kingdom, Europe, North America and Asia). It noted more than half of the respondents in North America expressed the highest level of satisfaction with their available resources, compared to their counterparts (the UK was least satisfied when asked the same question).
Over 2,253 global sustainability professionals took part in Acre’s biggest ever Sustainability Census report, a 43 per cent increase in participation from the 2020 CR Salary Survey.
Gloria Mirrione, Head of Sustainable Finance & Impact Investing – Americas, said: “It is exciting to see this statistic highlighted within the Census, which recognizes the practice of successful implementation of sustainability professionals and their efforts throughout North America."
“Businesses feeling bolstered by the provision of the right resources can accelerate their sustainability efforts for quicker and deeper impactful results with long-term gain.”
