Who is Rebecca Marmot?
Rebecca Marmot, Chief Sustainability Officer at Unilever joined us for the seventh episode of the 'Future of the CSO' series. Since joining Unilever in 2007, Rebecca has played a pivotal role in leading the business’s sustainability strategy. Pioneering and ensuring that the business complies with sustainable practices, Rebecca has taken great strides in reducing Unilever’s carbon footprint with her sustainability strategy, titled Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan. As someone who represents a true leader, making a positive impact by transforming Unilever's processes, Rebecca brought her passion and knowledge for sustainability to the conversation.
Who is Harriet Talbot?
Joining Rebecca was her colleague Harriet Talbot, Global Sustainability Manager at Unilever. Harriet joined Unilever three 1/2 years ago, starting out within their ‘Future Leaders Programme’. The programme allows passionate young people the opportunity to make a positive impact whilst learning all about Unilever’s 400 diverse brands, business and sustainability efforts. With a desire to be a force for good, Harriet shared valuable advice for aspiring CSOs looking to build their careers.
Who is Greg Brittian?
Representing Acre as the co-host for episode seven of the 'Future of the CSO' series is Greg Brittian, Head of FMCG, Sustainable Business. Greg leads senior searches for Acre across the fields of HSE & Sustainability with a particular focus on complex international projects. He has worked globally with some of the biggest names in the manufacturing, extractives, infrastructure and power generation industries. His recent success includes managing a large global recruitment campaign across eight regional hubs, building an audit and compliance function for an FMCG client and placing an Interim HSE Director for an FTSE 100 manufacturing firm.
Who is Mike Barry?
The second host to join the conversation is Mike Barry, Director of mikebarryeco and a long-standing leader in sustainable change. As the former Chief Sustainability Officer for Marks and Spencer, he is best known for his time at the organisation achieving zero-waste-to-landfill status, moving to 100% renewable electricity and achieving carbon neutrality across the global estate of stores, offices and warehouses. Alongside this long-standing legacy, Mike brings an array of broad experience working at an international level of business, charities, think tanks and startups.
