The IIGCC is a forum for collaboration on climate change for European investors with over 140 members, representing around €20 trillion in assets under management and working with some of the largest pension funds and asset managers across Europe. Reporting into the CEO of IIGCC, this role will encourage policies and investment practices that will help to accelerate the shift towards a low carbon economy.
This position will take full responsibility for the Investor Practices Programme, one of IIGCC's four formal programmes which focuses on improving investor practices on climate change and covers governance, strategy, tools and metrics used and climate disclosure.
Working closely with the Chair of IIGCC Investor Practices Programme to deliver effective practical support and guidance to members
Together with the Chair, this role will deliver an effective programme that provides practical support and guidance to members in all these areas.
Organising informative workshops or webinars for peer to peer learning or to provide overviews of the latest methodologies and tools
Coordinating the development of guidance documents or other materials on the integration of climate change into investment practices and reporting.
Lead on member collaboration to develop climate scenario analysis frameworks, investment in green solutions and disclosure in line with the recommendations of the Taskforce for Climate-related financial disclosures (TCFD).
Initially there will be a focus on climate scenario analysis disclosure in line with the recommendations of the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and investment in green solutions. Over time the programme manager will be responsible for developing new initiatives following discussions with the chair and steering committee members.
Strong understanding of climate change and investment is essential, ideally with experience of ESG and responsible investment
Demonstrable project management and communications experience with the ability to write engaging content
Enthusiastic team player with the ability to develop working relationships both internally and externally
Some European travel will be required
