Ethical Trade Manager

Due to the growth of the sustainability programme, now in its 7th year, the main purpose of the role is to work with ASOS's non-stock suppliers to help them implement international labour and human rights standards. The role will require close collaboration with the Procurement and Supply Chain teams to build internal capability to prevent, identify and remediate key business risks.

Key responsibilities

  • Extend the ethical trade strategy out across non-stock suppliers, helping them implement international labour and human rights standards.
  • Design and implement an audit programme tailored to address specific risks and track progress against KPIs to contribute to internal and external reports.
  • Build internal capability and develop communications, training materials and supplier integrity programmes that deliver ethical trade commitments across suppliers.
  • Work with Senior Directors to set the direction of focus for non-stock compliance and identify opportunities for ASOS to demonstrate leadership on implementing the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
We are looking for
  • Previous social auditing experience gained from working in a commercial environment, preferably with experience in auditing of logistics, transportation, warehouses.
  • A strong understanding of international labour and human rights standards and their application within complex business-environments, procurement arenas and global value chains.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to influence at a variety of levels both inside and outside of the business.
  • Proven team management and leadership skills.
