Role purpose:
The role will provide support to meet an increasing demand from Government and Industry in the UK for expertise in assessing CHP and District Heating Schemes, in terms of their technical and economic performance, and assessing the policy opportunities for encouraging the uptake of CHP, low carbon heat options and District Heating.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills:

Good understanding of Energy Supply and Demand sides
Excellent organisational abilities
IT/database understanding and problem solving skills

The ability to work to commercial imperatives
The role:
Engineer with the technical knowledge to conduct CHP/community heating feasibility studies
An understanding of government policies relating to CHP, heat markets and associated district heating and cooling networks
Experience of working in a consultancy or an evaluation team at a utilities company
Have an understanding of industrial CHP (in particular steam systems) and building applications
Have knowledge of the market and regulatory framework for CHP and District heating/Cooling in the UK
In addition, you will demonstrate good attention to detail, technical report writing ability and be able to assimilate information quickly
