Our client is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions for agricultural, commercial, private and public sector customers.

The company is growing rapidly and looking to hire an Agricultural Business Development Manager to join their team in Reading. The company designs, supplies and installs solar PV systems and small wind turbines, with a broad client base throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities will include:

Identifying solar PV and wind turbine sales opportunities in the agricultural and agro-processing sectors
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure all opportunities and sales are followed through to closure
Develop and maintain relationships with potential customers through buying groups, machinery rings, land management companies etc.

The successful individual will have commercial sales experience in the renewables sector. They will also have:

Proven track record in sales of solar PV/wind, with a target of £2m per annum
Technical knowledge of solar PV/wind and ability to deliver a technical sales solution
Ability to generate leads independently and to follow these through to closure
Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy, particularly solar PV/wind turbines up to 100kW
