Acre is proud to be partnering exclusively with Earth Security Group (ESG) to identify a Director of Strategic Partnerships to be based in their London HQ.

ESG provide innovation, strategic intelligence, data and analysis do facilitate impactful sustainable development in a rapidly changing global context. Through its think tank ESG provides the global thought leadership for corporates and financial institutions to align their business models with solutions to the world's biggest sustainability challenges.

This role is a key senior hire for the business and will lead its think tank work. You will be responsible for leading research programs on industry and finance innovation for sustainable development, actively guiding the implementation of practical recommendations.

We are looking for a ‘global citizen’ who can lead the organisations think tank and engage with a range of private sector groups and governmental bodies to use the power of innovation, investment, marketing and global value chains as a solution to entrenched social inequality and environmental degradation.

The programme mobilises leading figures across industry along with investors and governments to drive collaboration on new financial mechanisms that target and deliver sustainable development solutions in carefully selected regions of the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall program leadership: Ensure the quality, effectiveness and resource allocation efficiency in the development of all aspects of the program.
  • Strategic industry research: Provide conceptual leadership, oversee research methods and narrative development working with a team of ESG analysts.
  • Industry & finance engagement: Engage industry and finance leaders in ESG network and beyond on solutions through workshops and meetings.
  • Fundraising: Lead the program’s fundraising effort targeted to international government donors and corporate sponsors, with the support of the CEO.
  • Institutional: Represent ESG externally in key conferences, including in governmental cooperation processes providing a finance sector innovation voice.
