Acre has been engaged by a global construction and infrastructure business to identify a new Senior Health & Safety Advisor. Based in London and reporting into the Divisional Head of HSE, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading on all Health & Safety matters across a variety of commercial and residential construction projects worth up to £250m in value.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring that H&S objectives are fully embedded into the projects
Developing and maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Leading, promoting and coordinating the delivery of necessary training and coaching
Supporting and developing the HSE function to enable efficient and effective delivery of company philosophy
Supporting the delivery of the Behavioural Safety Programme, whilst maintaining a culture of openness and transparency to improve HSE performance
Supporting and influencing the project leadership teams to develop the soft skills to deliver successful HSE performance
This person must be an ambitious health and safety professional with a background in the construction sector. The successful candidate will also be driven, with a passion for H&S matters and an eagerness to learn and develop.
They will also have:
TechIOSH as a minimum, ideally GradIOSH
A NEBOSH or NCRQ Certificate
Excellent communication and engagement skills
A proven ability to influence upwards in order to promote a positive safety culture
A progressive approach to Health & Safety
