IIGCC Programme Manager

Acre is working in partnership with the Institutional Investor Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) to identify a new Programme Manager, initially on a two year contract with the potential to be extended further after the first year of employment.

IIGCC Programme Manager

The IIGCC is a forum for collaboration on climate change for European investors with over 140 members, representing around €20 trillion in assets under management and working with some of the largest pension funds and asset managers across Europe.

This role will play a key part in supporting IIGCC's membership and programmes, focusing on the integration of climate related issues into the members' investment practices and reporting on these.

Key Requirements

  • Working closely with the Chairs of IIGCC Investor Practices Programme to deliver effective practical support and guidance to members
  • Organising informative workshops and webinars, focusing on the integration of climate change into investment practice and reporting
  • Supporting the expansion of the Corporate Programme and providing a platform for investors to engage collaboratively with companies
  • Improving corporate disclosure and investor practices by working closely with the Head of EU policy to identify and fill policy gaps
  • Developing materials for internal communications and reporting to external funders

Reporting into the CEO of IIGCC, this role will encourage policies and practices that will help to accelerate the shift towards a low carbon economy with a focus on climate scenario analysis disclosure in line with the recommendations of the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and investment in green solutions.

Key Skills

  • Experience within the finance sector or consultancy
  • Strong understanding of climate change and investment is essential, ideally with experience of ESG and responsible investment
  • Demonstrable project management and communications experience with the ability to write engaging content
  • Enthusiastic team player with the ability to develop working relationships both internally and externally
  • Some European travel will be required
